OVERCOMING NEUTRALITY

Neutral men are the devil's allies.
--Edwin Hubbel Chapin

1Ki. 18:21 And Elijah came to all the people, and said, "How long will you falter between two opinions? If the LORD is God, follow Him; but if Baal, follow him." But the people answered him not a word.

There is a frightening trend among many that claim to know Christ today. It seems as though some want to know Jesus and to also know the world by experience.  The symptoms of compromise are not only powerlessness in compromising believers, but a great turn-off to the Gospel.

Rev. 3:15 "I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I could wish you were cold or hot.

One of the greatest detriments to the Gospel of Jesus Christ are those who praise Jesus with their lips, but in their works they deny Him. (See Titus 1:16)

If you don't make up your mind, your unmade mind will unmake you.
--Eli E. Stanley Jones

Satan tried to get Daniel stuck in neutrality. But Daniel purposed in his heart not to compromise. Consider that even hungry lions could not defeat or eat this young man with a made up mind! (Dan. 1:8 & 6:22)

James warned us that the double-minded are unstable in all of their ways and those that waver in their faith are not to think that they will receive anything from the Lord. That leads me to believe that the things they "do" receive, they "think" are from the Lord, but they are not. Their discerning is impaired through their compromise of faith and faithfulness. (See James 1:6,7)

A prevalent message in the sum of scripture is: "No Compromise"

Satan comes to us and asks the ancient question:

"Yea, hath God said? (See Gen. 3:1) With that question, Adam and Eve compromised their faithfulness to God.

Have you determined what your answer is, when Satan tries to contradict the Word of God?

Every blessing!
