CAN YOU TEACH ME HOW TO GROW?
“The moment a tree stops growing, it begins to die.”
Psa 92:13 Those who are planted in the house of the LORD Shall flourish in the courts of our God. 14 They shall still bear fruit in old age; They shall be fresh and flourishing
“Pablo Casals was considered the greatest cellist to ever live. When he was 95 years old he was asked why he continued to practice 6 hours a day. He answered, “Because I think I’m making progress.””
Today’s thought is short and simple. Who among us wants to grow old and unfruitful? Crickets.. Of course the answer is none of us! My Dad and my Dad’s Dad, were very hard working men. However, for both of them, when they grew to the age they had to sit and look out the window, they did not last long in that state. The key to our remaining fruitful in our old age is to never be uprooted from the courts of the Lord. With a longing to be in His presence we will still be flourishing and leading the way for the generations that are following us! We must demonstrate God’s faithfulness and His power to the younger ones watching us!
Psa 71:18 Now also when [I am] old and grayheaded, O God, do not forsake me, Until I declare Your strength to [this] generation, Your power to everyone [who] is to come.
I claim this prayer as my own as I am getting older and grayer. O God, make us people of ever increasing and perpetual fruit for Your glory!
Every blessing!
