DEAD ON ARRIVAL

Gal 2:20 "I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the [life] which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.

When James Calvert went out as a missionary to the cannibals of the Fiji Islands, the ship captain tried to turn him back, saying, “You will lose your life and the lives of those with you if you go among such savages.” To that, Calvert replied, “We died before we came here.”

When the modern church gets this dying-to-self right, then the life of Jesus will be seen, felt, and do the impossible, then the masses around the globe come running to Jesus! (see 2 Cor. 4:10) The end-time church is rising to the occasion as we witness the gross darkness covering the earth! (Is. 60:1-3) His glory is going to be greater on this latter house than it was upon even the church of Acts! (Hag. 2:9) His power and glory are going to be manifest through this church that Jesus promised to build! (Mt. 16:18) Paul was a mighty man of God because he lived dead! (1 Cor. 15:31) Jesus told His followers and that includes those of us following Him today, that we SHALL RECEIVE POWER AFTER THE HOLY GHOST COMES UPON US AND WE WILL BE WITNESSES UNTO HIM. (Acts 1:8) The word witnesses is martys which is translated as martyrs! The power we receive, is the power to die to ourselves! This dying world awaits a church that when it shows up is dead to itself, a people that are dead on arrival, yet fully alive in Jesus!
