CHRISTIAN ATHEISM

Worry is practical atheism and an affront to God. ~ R. H Mounce

John 14:1 "Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me.

Boy! Isn’t this preceding verse a really tall order in the day you and I are living? When you watch or read the daily news, you can clearly see that we have entered in to the time that Jesus is describing below!

Mat 24:6 "And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled; for all [these things] must come to pass, but the end is not yet. 7 "For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places. 8 "All these [are] the beginning of sorrows.

..But the end is not yet.. Why? This what I believe: The Lord of the Harvest is waiting for the Harvest to be reaped! James 5:7 Therefore be patient, brethren, until the coming of the Lord. See [how] the farmer waits for the precious fruit of the earth, waiting patiently for it until it receives the early and latter rain.

I could go awhile about this. Suffice it to say that troubled hearted harvesters are too distracted to reap the end-time harvest. Rejoice the latter rain is coming even now and the power of Heaven is coming to help us!

Jesus forbids His followers to walk in fear! Since He commands us not to be troubled or fearful, He then provides all the grace we need to be fearless and at peace in a world full of constant turbulence! The violence, earthquakes, tornados, hurricanes, tsunamis, landslides, wildfires, persecutions, etc., etc. The Bible tells us that these are birth pains and all of it will escalate more and more.

Mat 24:8 "All these [are] the beginning of sorrows.

In other words all these dreadful things are just getting started. Friend, what we are witnessing everyday is only the beginning of sorrows. I urge you, don’t allow your heart to become cold or calloused because of all of the calamities. Stay tender and soft before Jesus! We cannot deal with these things by hardening our heart. So what is the response to all these things and how shall we overcome fear and unbelief? I believe the best prescription is found in the following verses:

Php 4:6 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; 7 and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

Refuse anxiety of any kind! Don’t be a christian atheist! BELIEVE the promises of God! Rise up full of faith and pray with thankfulness because you believe that God will hear you and answer you! His promise is peace that supersedes your comprehension. He will keep you safe, blessed, and full of joy and peace in a terrified world that so desperately need what you have! Hallelujah!!

Every blessing!
