When he lays anything to a saint’s charge, he is able to retort and say, “It is true, Satan, I am guilty of these sins, but I have judged myself already for them; and having condemned myself in the lower court of conscience, God will acquit me in the upper court of heaven.””
1 Cor. 11:31 For if we would judge ourselves, we would not be judged.
How awesome this promise is! If we would be our best critic and throw ourselves at the mercy of Heaven's Court, we would be free from Heaven's judgement! Something that easily reminds me to be far more critical and judgmental of my own self is, in order to point a finger at someone else, I notice there are 3 fingers pointing back at me! Friends, how much better the world would be, if we all consistently practiced this 3 fingered judgment. I will let you use your own imagination here!
Psa 86:5 For You, Lord, [are] good, and ready to forgive, And abundant in mercy to all those who call upon You.
Aren't you glad that you have friends in the highest places? Father, Son and Holy Spirit are standing in a place of readiness to forgive all and that includes you, that call out for mercy to the God so great in mercy! Whenever you confess your sins and call upon Jesus, He will plead your case before His Father. who is also your Father. Jesus is your defense attorney, who is also your elder Brother! Though Satan is your prosecutor, this whole thing is rigged in your favor! The verdict is not guilty! Your sin stained record has been wiped clean, by the precious blood of Christ!
Now, aren't you thankful that the Judge is your Father?
